Major Apprenticeship Event in Rotherham from 2015 leavers - November 17



 
The Local The Employers Advisory Skill Day on Monday 17
November at Magna
 
will enable all 2015 Labour Market Entrants to check out local opportunities for 2015 by talking to 60 organisations.

The organisations represented are from a range of sectors including:
 
Armed forces, Childcare, Engineering and Manufacturing
Design, Business and Finance, Health, ICT
Hospitality, Media, Retail, Construction
 
Visitors have an opportunity to experience the MANTRA, the Manufacturing Technology Transporter, which has:

Simulators, a Virtual Reality Interactive Projector Screen,
7 plasma screens, 7 DVD players
2 computers demonstrating the latest Technology developments
 
 TRC is arranging transport to the afternoon session from 1-4pm.

Open Day for Budding Lawyers - November 24


Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co have organised an Open Day on Monday, 24th November for 50 aspiring lawyers currently studying AS levels.


Students will have the opportunity to;
learn about the various routes into the legal profession,
network with trainees, associates and partners, 
participate in a number of legal activities.


Those who shine will be given the opportunity to take part in a twelve-month mentoring programme, before benefiting from a one-week work placement at the London office of Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co.


After completing this twelve-month programme, one outstanding student will be selected to receive a bursary to help them with the cost of university!


The programme is open to AS level students who meet the following criteria:

  • On-track to achieve a minimum of BBB at A-Level
  • Be available on Monday, 24th November
  • Are first in their family to attend higher education
  • or are eligible for free school meals
  • or currently receive the 16-19 bursary
  • or come from a family in receipt of income support
