On Friday 21st March, 4pm-8pm, the University of
Sheffield's laboratories and lecture theatres will be open to the public for a
host of talks, demonstrations and hands on activities based around our research
in Science, Engineering, Medicine and Dentistry.
There will be mini lectures, exciting science
demonstrations and hands on activities for primary and secondary school
children, and for adults.
Find out about everything from elephant behaviour to
dentistry, from stem cells to the search for alien life. If you've ever wanted to put on a lab coat
and extract some DNA, listen to a mini-lecture about parasites, see yourself in
infra-red, tour the research facilities, or taste liquid nitrogen ice cream
then come along. Everyone is very welcome and the event is free. No booking required.
